This book is beautiful and hopeful and joyful. It’s hard and painful and devastating. Adunni is one of the most enthralling characters I’ve ever read - Abi Daré is a genius. The prose is beautiful and Adunni’s voice is authentic and truly representative of a new English speaker. Incredible writing and beautiful story.
