Emily Henry’s books always hit home. The characters are complicated and very real. I also really liked that Miles and Daphne were introduced to us in the worst time of their lives. Miles was brought as a very unattractive person but his personality won ways. The situation is very unusual and could be really weird but the chemistry makes the story believable. 

I hated Peter and Petra and am very glad they broke up so soon again. It also goes to show how shallow and deeply wrong these people were for Miles and Daphne. The third act breakup was done really well and fit into the arc of the characters throughout the story. I really liked that we got a time jump and that they weren’t getting married so soon but instead decided to live together (again).

All in all a very good romance novel perfect for the summer.
