Anyone can tell you, I'm a sucker for a queer historical romance, especially with a good action plot. This author does that incredibly well in my opinion. I was not disappointed at all to pick up more of their work.
A fun and compelling plot drives this book with a heartfelt romance to soften the edges. The characters are fun and interesting and their development is so integral to the story.
I will say I liked the Will Darling Adventures series better, but that might be bias as I've been feeling very distracted and in a slump lately. I couldn't quite slip into this world as much as I'd hoped.
All in all pretty good, will probably reread to get a better experience of it at some point. I am looking forward to reading the second book in this duology, but I might wait a bit until it's got my full attention.
