Starcrossed by Josephine Angelini
5.0

Helen Hamilton is different. She is incredibly beautiful, strong, and fast…and she does everything she can to hide it. She hunches over to hide her height and she has managed to fade into the background, much to her best friend Claire’s annoyance. Helen, however, does not have time for Claire’s “stand-up-straight” lectures. Life on Nantucket is getting harder. Helen starts having nightmares that leave her feeling exhausted. Worse still, evidence of her nightmares seeps into her waking life in the form of dirt, dust, and blood on her feet. As if that was not enough, she is also plagued by hallucinations of three haggard women weeping blood when she runs into Lucas Delos, the new guy at school. The presence of him and his whole family is turning Helen’s life upside down.

It turns out that Helen and the Delos family are demigods who have the uncontrollable urge to kill each other, at least until something extraordinary happens. Of course, I cannot go into detail without spoiling it for you all. I try not to reveal more than what the official description reveals, which is not a lot here. Sorry!
