Of all the stories in this collection, this one did it for me the least. I think in part it’s due to the FMC being a princess, which makes the whole thing less relatable. I also don’t really like the third act breakup anyway, but don’t think it’s possible to do it in such a short story to make it work. When the characters only had a day together, it’s hard to believe that that would be enough to make someone reflect and change their mind.
