3.75

Oh my god, id heard so much about this series and in fairness it was veryyyyyyyyy fucking good. In the 3.5 - 3.75 range for me, as it didn’t change my life or anything but it was a thoroughly good read and one i know i will reread so many times. Just the perfect kind of trashy romcom you read to turn your brain off. But I’m not kidding it NEEEDSSSSSS to be made into a romcom, i can see it SO vividly. I also haven’t read the other two books in this trilogy, which meant the ending didn’t hit as much as it could have, for me. Also annoyingly funny, i had genuine laugh out loud moments in ways I haven’t had from a book since i was in my teens. Solid fucking book, definite reread, but more so guilty pleasure reread than recommend=d reread. This book and the kiss quotient sit at the same table for me. Also eve’s waywardness and quirks and traits made me feel SO seen - neurodivergent rep slay was very sexy. Loved Jacob for that precise reason as well. Also the validation in not knowing always what to do is terrifying, but the way eve was comforted and the quotes mentioned in here will stick with me a long ducking while. Great fucking read, loved it a lot :).
