Another Brooklyn
by Jacqueline Woodson
As a lovely piece of poetry to get lost in, Another Brooklyn allowed me to see how Brooklyn was for young women of color in the 1970s. My heart couldn’t help but break and hope for the four women at the center of the friendship.
Tougher novella if you like plot-driven stories. I thought it was lyrical and a nice quick reflection.
