The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes by Arthur Conan Doyle
5.0

There's nothing like a Sherlock Holmes book to remind you of why life is good. I enjoyed every minute of reading this small collection of some the most intriguing cases of the legendary Holmes.

His best friend, secretary, and chronicler of their shared adventures, Watson, is always blind to the facts behind the clues that only Holmes is capable of detecting. I can remember feeling very much like Watson used to when I was younger, and spent many hours of my time devouring Sherlock Holmes stories while marveling at the brilliance of the tales.

Alas, these days, the only trouble I had with any of the cases was that I very often solved the crime before Holmes had a chance to do it for me. I used to read a lot of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle a long time ago, and so there are only two possibilities for why I am better at solving Sherlock Holmes mysteries:

1. I'm getting smarter (unlikely).

2. I read this book a long time ago and forgot about it (most likely).

However, even when you know who committed the crime because you may have already read the book it matters not, for I'm telling you, a Sherlock Holmes book is a great pick me up. It's a guaranteed good read! I say, if you'd been having a bad luck book streak, pick up some Sherlock Holmes cases. You will be glad you did!
