This was a good book with interesting plot points and a satisfying ending. Somehow, I feel like the last few lines were a little too perfect in a predictable way, so I kind of wish there’d been a better resolution. Some aspects of the plot were very predictable but there were many very interesting plot points and it was an enjoyable read overall.

I’m a little confused why she shared that tea-mind connection with Ruyi at the end because I don’t know if they’re friendship was really that well developed other than Ruyi standing for Ning’s ideas in front of Zhen on occasion and when she saved her when she was injured which Ning would’ve honestly probably done for anyone.
