A Man Called Ove
by Fredrik Backman
This was a solid read—quietly emotional, with moments of dry humor sprinkled throughout. Like other Backman books, it centers on community, connection, and finding value in life through simple, everyday acts. While the pacing was a bit slow and the story carried a persistent sense of sadness, the ending was genuinely touching.
Watching Ove open up and experience something like having a daughter and grandchildren gave the story real heart.
Not my favorite of his, but still meaningful in its own way.
