Dream by Natalia Jaster

4.0

Another long-time-coming review. Long enough that I won't be able to write a proper one unless I reread the book. What I remember from it is that I still really like the way Natalia Jaster writes. Her writing has a dreamlike quality to it, no pun intended. Also, I love Nicu. I loved him as a kid and I love him now as an adult who sees things with a beautifully innocent clarity.

I also really appreciate that even as Nicu has grown up, the author never tries to use that to make him "normal" or to underplay the things he struggles with. I also like the romance and the setting. And finally, this was a great way to end the series. Plus, I definitely appreciated more seeing Poet and Briar again.
