Give Me a Reason
by A.L. Jackson
Trent is definitely not my usual hero, someone with so many demons and skeletons in his closet. But there I was, falling hook, line and sinker for him. Because he is so much more than what you see on the outside – at his heart he is a protector and a warrior. “He deserves someone who will see him for who he really is, Eden. Not for what he’s done.”. I loved Eden; her determination and bravery and her ability to see the goodness in people despite the heartache she has been through in her life. She has such a huge heart that she gives to others even with the risk of having it broken again.
Trent and Eden are almost as opposite as they come and for a while I couldn't work out how AL Jackson could make them fit together but she did, perfectly. The tension and chemistry between them is intense.
I loved Trent’s brothers (can’t wait to get to their books) and his son Gage is absolutely adorable. There were some twists and turns in Trent and Eden’s journey that I didn’t see coming. My first book by AL Jackson and definitely not my last.
