My Little Monster, Vol. 1 by Robico
4.0
🌸SYNOPSIS
Haru Yoshida is seen as unstable and violent, somewhat like a monster.
Shizuku Mizutani is someone who focuses on achieving high-grades with no friends.
Then fate decides that these two should be thrown together as the most unlikely pair, could they be friends? But it seems that Haru believes he is in love with the iron-hearted maiden, while Shizuku thinks he is completely out of his mind. Is this the start of a beautiful love or a recipe for disaster?
🌸OPINION
I am enjoying the concept of this manga, with the whole notion of opposites attracting to each other though I feel that these two may have a lot in common with each other. I kind of chosen the chicken as my favourite. Though when it comes to how I feel about the characters, I feel conflicted at times about them. Haru and Shizuku are not overly what I expected but, yet they are. I think they will grow on me as I progress through the volumes.
The story doesn’t seem overly defined at this point, but I hope that comes into light soon, well, besides the relationship between Haru and Shizuku. Then again, we have twelve volumes in the series with a bonus thirteenth one. I look forward to the whole progress of this series. I also enjoy the little side comics the author has added.
🌸PRO
The characters seem amusing
The art is rather pleasant
The mini-comics are adorable
🌸CON
Vague storyline currently
🌸FINAL SAY
“I’m sure I’ll always like you”
I do kind of hope they last but trusting this genre of manga, they probably will, after having a few complications like they have been within the first volume. This is really the only flaw with shoujo manga, the girl always ends up with the main guy. Besides that, I am really enjoying this manga so far and how their small world is slowly expanding as they interact with more and more people become involved with Haru and Shizuku and I cannot wait to see how big and close they get by the end of it.
