You Had Your Chance, Lee Burrows by Piper Rayne
3.0
As a sucker for second chance/sports romance, this book was right up my alley.
Despite my three star rating, I really did enjoy reading this book and all the characters. I loved seeing the semi- small plot points of all of the other players and figuring out what the next book will be (I did figure out Brady's book based on his single dad status alone, Miles was easy because of Bryce, and Chase's was easy too). Shayna and Lee were a cute couple and even though I was annoyed at Lee for the whole job.relationship mess for a second, I'm glad to see an actual change in his understanding. I was also happy to see focus on Shayna and Lee's family dynamic and how it affected them.
I gave this 3 stars because this book seemed easy. By easy, I mean that everything felt very cookie cutter written to match this trope. I would have loved a little more depth into each character and more internalizing dialogue instead of a base layer of writing. I am still interested in reading the other books, but I hope that I see more of character conflict depth.
This was an easy and fun read and I would still recommend to people who love this trope as much as I do!
