The Scot Who Loved Me by Gina Conkle

2.75

The sexual tension starts off strong, but it takes them almost to the end to get to bed. The middle sags. The "will they make to their happily ending?" tension is lacking; around 25% through I was like, yeah the only thing keeping them apart is their reluctance to open up to each other which they are doing incrementally so it is inevitable. In a genre that specifies a happily ever after, making readers feel like it is in jeopardy is hard. I won't reread it, but I might check out the next book in the series
