Somber, melancholy, meditative and aching for the loss of beauty and light in the world who’s like will never come again, Fellowship of the Ring is at once a story of Frodo’s quest but of all our lives and the universal human experience of pushing past adversity that seems far too great to endure or overcome. It’s a classic for a reason and one I believe will still be told hundreds of years from now.
