Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier
REBECCA by DAPHNE DU MAURIER
Wow (obviously). I know it’s no surprise that this is a great book; people have been saying so since the 1930s, but I didn’t expect to love it so much. I just read it to be dutiful and make sure I was reading the classics and not just contemporary literary, but my, oh my, did I get a shock!
The best word I can use to describe this book is: compelling. There wasn’t a moment when I didn’t want to read on. I only put this book down when I absolutely had to.
If you’ve been wondering whether to read this or if it’s been lurking on your TBR for years, then I recommend you pick it up ASAP and you won’t be sorry.
Any other fans out there?
