Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen

3.0

Pride and Prejudice is one of the rare pieces of work in which the movie is far better than the book. Although I love Jane Austen’s works, I’ve never been the biggest fan of her writing. In my opinion, the movie showcased the story far better than the book could’ve. There was no fluff and it was hard to see any scenery in the novel so the movie was actually very enjoyable. Not to mention the nothing less than perfect romance that Darcy and Elizabeth share with the additional dialogue they share. Happy to have read it and love the concept, the writing style just wasn’t for me. I did love Elizabeth’s character! Along with the fact that Darcy was charmed by such a strong woman. That’s always exciting to see rather compared to the typical soft and quiet girl.
