So sad and disheartening. I’m thankful the case was won, but sad that there was never any form of compensation. Of course money cannot correct something like this but in essence, the victims didn’t receive anything in return. 

As a nurse, I’m beyond proud of Civil and her efforts to fight for her patients. We need more nurses like her. 

It’s also sad that Civil lost her touch of motherhood in a sense and never had biological children or married. But it also just shows how strongly she cared for her patients and their injustice.
