The female leads are my most favourite thing about this book. Specifically Mrs. Verity, she just reminds me of Carmilla ( french sapphic book Carmilla) every time she appears. I definitely enjoyed her character the most.
There's just something about wicked, vampire female character for me or just the whole evil/ wicked woman, of course, if it's done well.
My second favourite would be the vampire society, although I wish there's more details of the circle about them, especially around Verity and Kalon.
There's also orientalism ideas presented here being shown and subjected to Pearl.
My favourite ending would probably be the first one ( I JUST LOVE THE TRAGIC YET HAPPY ENDING for my evil VeritY 🙈).
Overall, this is really a fun read to me! Highly recommended 🫶
