When the Sparrow Falls
by Neil Sharpson
reflective
medium-paced
I have nothing particularly against this book but I was just kinda bored reading it. The story was good over all but it kinda had a Return of the King movie situation of too many/extended endings. Like, climax of the major plot was done at 75% and the third act kinda just felt like an exposition dump to get to the real ending. Very reminiscent of 1984 but with AI which was a fine premise but also didn't hold my interest.
