"Men want power because it makes them feel good. Women want power because it lets us do things."
"Every moment in life is a coin, with one dark side and one light. They fell on the ground with one side facing up, but the other always lay beneath it, there but hidden."
This book is good. So good I am trying to submit as higher than 5 stars. Such wonderful magic, such twists and turns, so much emotion and emotional gut punches, a well done love story. I see now why this book has been predicted to be a sleeper series - not as well known or booktok popular, but once enough people read it, they'll see this is a top book.
Highly recommend for romantasy readers, and even more for fantasy readers (though it's not as world-building fantasy).
