I found this book really engaging, which is tough for someone who's normally not interested in adventure novels. However, I'm subtracting a half star; I was left scratching my head at the end, because the big reveal had zero to do with the story or the main character. It had me thinking about how gimmicky and trendy this feels in books right now rather than how good the book itself was.
