I am so so happy that this book doesn't have the second book syndrome! I absolutely loved this and enjoyed reading it. My only issues were that I wasn't able to visualise it in my head that well and that the pacing somehow felt a bit off. Aside from that, this is the action-packed, intense, insanely cool sequel that I hoped for. The writing is beautiful, as it was in The Poppy War.
