This was fast paced right from the get-go and we get a deep dive into what happened to Sara 15 years ago when she was raped by the janitor. How does that connect to these missing woman who come back with no recollection of their rapes? Obviously the content is heavy and not fun to read about, but the detective work the characters do to figure out what is going on. Wow. Sure it isnt all legal, but they get to put some nasty offenders behind bars for a good long time. We get closure. We see justice being served. I think thats why I enjoy these books even though the subject matter is so tough. Also, Slaughter touches on how most people dont believe the victim when they're raped. I think that's a great thing to discuss in this book. We see jokes are made about it and thats how some people cope.

Plot spoilers below:
Nasty that Britt was the true ring leader. Mac got names because he was the one to help with the surgery when these girls were kids and then they waited until they were older to fulfill their fantasies. Then his own son came into it. They all were in on it together, so that way they all wouldn't go down with it. Also cant believe Britt was the one to manipulate the janitor to rape Sara. Why the fuck would you do that to another women when youre being abused by your own husband? Pick me ass bitch! Ugh i was so frustrated with how gross all the men were. Good thing Sara lost touch with them all. Yuck!
