4.0

I wavered on my rating - 4.25/5.00 is where i can get my head and heart to agree.

SO…
I went back to the first book and listened to it on audio and that made a huge difference in rating for that book.

This book - I immediately did audio on. J.F.Harding has consistently been in my top 5 voice narrators since I first started listening to this format. He did not disappoint.

I like Tony. I like Mac. Sometimes when I like both characters, I have a tendency to over amplify everything that irritates me about them.

Tony - he can be just so naive and in all the wrong places. “So being out can be life-threatening for a cop?”

This book was first written in 2011 and then it looks like there were updates in 2017 and 2021. Anyway, I’m 2011, we were 4 years away from legalized gay marriage here in the US. So hey, Yah Tony - that’s kind of a stupid question for you to ask.

And then Mac…his ups and downs were exhausting for me. I shut off the book because of this - multiple times.

There were lots of shining moments during these ups and downs - Oliver - I might actually like him and Sinclair - she could be my new bff.
