The Ivies by Alexa Donne
3.0
When I saw what this book was about, I was amazed. The idea seemed super original to me. a group of teenagers obsessed with academic success. their only problem being getting into ivy legue schools. Our characters will do anything to increase their chances of being selected. Now, was the book as spectacular as I imagined? No. I give it a score of 3.5 stars. It is a quick book, entertaining to read, but it has some flaws. The characters have 0 development, Avery is the only exception, but even so it is almost non-existent. I couldn't empathize with Olivia, our main character. The rest of the characters seem somewhat insignificant, such as Margot and Sierra. The ending was predictable, and the plot development felt rushed. Removing these obstacles, the book is fun, it reads quickly. Likewise, I consider that there are better ones for mystery lovers.
