I still got sucked into the story, but it didn’t have the same impact on me as the first two books did. This one felt a bit repetitive. I was hoping for an exploration of what was happening on mars like the 2nd book built up to. The pacing felt off to me as well. The ending felt rushed. Also, there were a lot of grammatical and punctuation errors in the book. It was funny at first but it really started to take me out of the story!
I need to take some time to think about why this book used first perspective instead a of third perspective like the other two. It didn’t make me feel anymore connected with Jodahs and I was honestly missing Lilith and Akin while reading this book.
Even though this wasn’t my fav Octavia book, it was still entertaining and I hope to read more of her books soon.
