I was told this book would “fuck me up”. Perhaps not in the expected way - my brain does feel fried - but it felt more like Devotion where all the horror just becomes sadness and grief. I also liked the ribbing at academia through all the bizarre citations and petty arguments. Not life-changing, but a fun read to confound others with.
