I'm Glad My Mom Died by Jennette McCurdy

5.0

4.5 rounded up
Solid memoir
Listened to Jennette’s recording.
Well paced, engaging, and honest.
For some reason I was bothered by how short the chapters were. I prefer them to be more meaningful/ split up a life into sections/morals/periods. The shortness of the chapters made it it super quickly like reading diary entries.
The childhood portions were the most moving for me, McCurdy does a great job of putting you in the head of the little girl she once was.
Great debut novel. Hope she writer more stories considering it’s what the wanted as a little girl. :)
