A Trail of Fire by Diana Gabaldon

5.0

Technically, I should rate it lower, as I give "The Custom of the Army" and "Plague of Zombies" 2 stars. I give 5 stars to "A Leaf on the Wind of All Hallows", which I have previously read, and which made me sob like a baby. But mostly I give this book 5 stars for "The Space Between", disingenuously described as a story about Jamie's nephew Michael and stepdaughter Joan. In the interest of not giving away spoilers, I will say the most important parts of the story are about 2 characters we haven't seen since "Dragonfly in Amber" and they REALLY, REALLY kicked my curiosity about them and the how of the time travel into high gear. Please Diana, please take a detour and write some more about this!
