I swear to god in the entire middle section of this book nothing happens. After
Alina gets rescued by Nikolai
and before
the Darkling invades Os Alta
, it's just them dawdling about and everyone's upset because they're all dating the wrong people. Bardugo's writing style is the only thing keeping this book above a 2.5.
