Satan's Affair by H.D. Carlton

If I wasn’t in a reading slump before this Definitley put me in one.
I was underwhelmed with the haunting/hunting Adeline duo so I went into this not expecting much, especially as it’s a short story, but I struggled so much to get through this.
I’m not sure if it was the writing style, the plot or the fact it felt pretty pointless by the end it took me over 2 weeks to read.
I enjoyed hearing about Sibbys past and why she is the way she is and think if the book focused more on that than the random killings then it would’ve been a better story. Zade only gets introduced in the last couple chapters and before that nothing substantial happens
If you haven’t read the haunting/hunting Adeline duo I’d recommend reading this first as you might enjoy it more, however if you have already read it then there’s no point.
