Jimmy Stewart: Bomber Pilot by Starr Smith
2.0
Okay, so disclaimer: I love Jimmy Stewart. Favorite actor ever. EVER. (And I'm from his hometown.) I also love history, especially WW2. So I was stoked to read about this "non-Hollywood" part of his life.
But to be honest, I just couldn't get into it. The author barely even knew Jimmy Stewart except as a little more than an acquaintance. Certainly not enough to write a book about his time in the military. And I feel like half of the book consisted of complete tangents into the stories of other people in the story, and the tangents had nothing to do with Jimmy.
Overall, this is a decent story of bomber pilots in WW2, with an extended cameo by this famous Hollywood actor. Disappointing for fans of Jimmy.
