dark emotional medium-paced

• Diverse cast of characters? Yes
• Flaws of characters a main focus? Yes

I found it was stressful, intense and emotionally taxing.  There were too many traumatic experiences for me.  It was not enjoyable.  
That being said- it is a well written book.  It’s an interesting plot.
