If We Were Villains by M.L. Rio

5.0

C - 8/10. although i hate on the secret history for how longg it is i do think this book should’ve been longer (even though i prob wouldn’t have read it then..) but i just feel like most of the characters never moved past the original trope assigned to them. it makes sense some characters (like wren) might stay out of oliver’s perspective but that’s richards COUSIN like there couldve been more there… i just think more time with the characters would’ve helped.
A - 7/10. i liked the idea of the stage but tbh i couldn’t rlly picture anything at all. i still liked the school setting even though it wasn’t very memorable
W - 8/10. kinda relied on shakespeare lines a lot which just didn’t work with me (i skipped those…) but i get WHY. i still liked the writing a lot tho.
P - 5/10. i predicted it. it was like i knew EVERYTHING before the characters did which isn’t really exciting just makes me doubt the storytelling.
I - 7/10. even tho it was predictable i still liked reading it. i was stressingg even though i obviously knew oliver was going to be arrested. i do think the tension needed more time, the pacing was way too fast.
L - 8/10.
E - 10/10
