That's Amore: An Arranged Marriage in Crisis Love Story
by Maya Alden
4.75⭐️
Perfezione! Una bellissima storia d'amore ambientata in un luogo che mi tocca l'anima.
Italy holds such a special and lasting place in my heart. It is a vibrantly rich culture that feeds the soul and Maya has captured its essence so viscerally. Rome is a character in itself and I loved the way that language, food and its people were seamlessly embedded in each page.
This story begins in gut wrenching fashion as we watch Elysa find the strength to leave in the hopes of healing and finding purpose and worth in a new future. Dante weighed down by his growing resentment is certain that his wife is not a good for for him or his life. And yet, Elysa wish for a so price leaves him drowning in uncertainty and regret.
It is painful watching Elisa’s eviscerated heart shatter under Dante’s condescension and cruelty. He became the true villain of the story until Elisa’s departure and hard won strength make him have some very deep and agonizing self reflection. witnessing this hopeful union fall apart only made the redemption that much sweeter.
I loved this book so much and if you like deeply flawed, emotionally impactful stories then I hope you will check this out when it releases on June 4th.
