Fatal Intrusion
by Jeffery Deaver, Isabella Maldonado
I liked how this book was constructed. It was very clearly designed to keep the reader believing specific things until the authors want us to know what is really going on. The authors in this case, used this method of storytelling on a ton of different aspects of the story, both related to the serial killer investigation and not. A clear bait and switch that led to the reader's understanding of the characters and their motivations being like a color-by-numbers where the numbers are revealed in strategic sections and culminating in the full picture by the end. I have read an the enjoyed several Deaver short stories but this is my first full-length novel of his. I will be reading the sequel.
