The Fellowship of Puzzlemakers by Samuel Burr
3.0
Cozy, puzzley, gentle.
I probably should have enjoyed this more than I did. I mean, puzzle design is my day job. Buuuuut sandwiched between a few other books / genres, this felt like the more forgettable book I read over the Christmas break. The best possible description I can give is that it's The Thursday Murder Club mixed with T. J. Klune.
As a final review side note, my favourite thing about this book was my copy of it - a hefty, physical hardback with a gorgeous front cover. I read through the whole thing, pencil in hand, solving along with our protagonist, Clayton. I wonder if I missed any deeper, meta puzzles along the way.
