A nuanced and interesting view into the world of canadas oil sands mining operations, and how the lives of those who work there are affected. It focuses especially on toxic masculinity and a culture of sexual harassment and assault. It’s told with Beatons usual wit and charm, but is still emotionally heavy at times. Well worth reading
