This memoir was very moving. Trejo discusses his upbringing, time in prison, his generational trauma and how that effected him, his addiction and his recovery, his acting career, and how he changed his life. I applaud Trejo for being so vulnerable and sharing his story. I did struggle with some of the misogyny in the book, but I am glad that Trejo addressed this and brought up how it’s wrong.
