I didn't love this book; it's kind of just mid, in my opinion. The idea that a mafia family doesn't have a 'fixer' on retainer seems far fetched, just as much as the heir apparent to said mafia family never having taken someone's life by age 26. Excuse me? I thought this was a mafia book, but I guess it's more like a rich kids gone wrong type of book. I get that being gay is not what the patriarch would want to leave his supposed empire too, but the lengths that his denial would impact his decision is bonkers. Also, for a sociopath, how is he able to form such a quick connection with someone? He's supposed to be a SOCIOPATH, hence minimal understanding and possession of complex feelings like love. I didn't hate this book, but I'd never read it again.
