A good thriller that doesn't get too unsettling or dark. It has elements of gore, psychological twists, and mystery all blended together. Like many thrillers, there are some subplots that felt like they were there only for shock value without adding too much to the story. However, I wouldn't say they ruined the book. The writing is strong, visual, and keeps a nice pace.
Graphic: Murder, Blood, Child death, Death, Gore, and Death of parent
Moderate: Child abuse, Pregnancy, and Sexual assault
