The Moth Keeper by K. O'Neill

3.0

When Anya takes the vow of Moth Keeper she knows it means spending nights alone in the desert. She knows it’s her job to guard and tend to the Moon-Moths. The Moon-Moths pollinate the Night-Flower tree, which helps the nocturnal community where Anya lives. At first Anya seems to thrive in her new role, but over time she grows tired and yearns for the sunlight. As with other O’Neill graphic novels I have read, I wished the story felt more complete. There are times you really have to rely on the art itself to tell the story, and while I do love the art I think taking the time to build up the story would only enhance the overall experience. Great representation as always. One character has albinism, and one walks with the use of a cane.
