DC Comics: Bombshells Vol. 5: The Death of Illusion by Marguerite Bennett

4.0

Really liked Pam's thoughts at the start of Super Weapon: "History is a tale, like any other, told to charm, to entertain, and to instruct. And we love tales of great men and women. We may lack their power, but we like to think we would share their principles. Their consciences. We look in bewilderment and disgust at those among them who did harm, or who did nothing - 'How could they? How couldn't they?'

'I would have fought,' we think. 'Spoke, marched, resisted, defended. I would not be one of those silent people in a silent world.' Every era has its defining moment. The moment where the clock ceases to tick - ceases to move forward. Where all lives come to rest upon the point of a second hand, close to midnight.

'What would I have done?' In the crises of your life and age and era,. . . what you do now is what you would have done then."
