This was better the 2nd time through.
A richly crafted fantasy based on pre-Columbian, native mythology, this has political intrigue, religious cults, giant crows and eagles, old gods, and violence.
My issue with the story was that I didn't really feel connected to 2 of the 3 main POVs for most of the book. We're given a good deal of background on them, I just didn't like most of them very much. That's a me problem, though.
Definitely starting the sequel soon.
