Redefining Realness: My Path to Womanhood, Identity, Love & So Much More by Janet Mock

4.0

Really fast read/listen on Hoopla. I also did a lot of biking, so that meant more listening time.

Great memoir and very useful for everyone to read and understand one woman's experience of being a biracial trans woman who grew up in the 90s. There is explicit description of child molestation and assault, as a warning.

Mock's story is both very lucky in how her family eventually accepted her and unlucky in how she moved around a lot and had instability due to parental drug use and rotating parental boyfriends/girlfriends. Great read.
