I wanted this to be good- unfortunately, the world-building was weak to nonexistant, the character development was lacking, and I felt myself constantly asking, "but WHY, though?!"
I found Dawsyn utterly unlikeable and her actions made no sense considering her history.
Also, I don't mind some smut, but wanting to get down and dirty *immediately* after a near-death I-just-regained-consciousness experience (more than once!) felt so contrived that I actually cackled.
