I had really high hopes for this one. Sadly, it didn't hit the spot. I love Pride and Prejudice retellings when done right. In Pride and Papercuts, everything felt forced just to make it a P&P retelling. I don't mind the name similarities--Bennett family, Darcy family, etc.--but the stilted dialogue repurposed from P&P to somehow work within the new characters' personalities and situations was...off. I managed to finish the book, and I liked the ending, but it's not something I would pick up again.
