I need holy water after finishing this.
This was, without a doubt, one of the most disturbing things I’ve ever read. I’m so disgusted and revolted and freaked out because WHAT THE HELL.
The reason it took me a month to finish it was because I would spend weeks like not wanting to read it because it’s so dark and draining on your soul. Still thought it was fantastic though.
I don’t even know how Gillian Flynn does it, she makes literally everything as twisted, messed up, and gruesome as possible so I’m basically vomiting and crying simultaneously while reading her books. I liked this one more than Sharp Objects though. It was such an amazingly written story, no matter how awful it was.
